§ 3D modeling and 2D detail drawings using Autodesk Inventor for can manufacturing systems. I
created models and drawings for complex welded sheet metal assemblies for machine guarding
and covers. I created 3D models and drawings for machined parts including bearings, shafts,
vacuum valves, vacuum manifolds, cams, gears, and created grease line tubing using 3D
sketches. I worked with very large and complex assemblies in Inventor and ensured that the
assemblies were 100% accurate with what was called for in the BOM.
§ Used ASME Y14.5 standards. Used a variety of GD&T tolerances including flatness,
perpendicularity, position, concentricity, and total run out.
§ 2D general arrangement drawings using Autodesk AutoCAD. I created layouts of the overall
machines that gave detailed specifications for power and vacuum and show critical dimensions
for machine operation.
§ Used document management system (BlueCielo Meridian), revision control, engineering change
orders. I ensured accurate updating of legacy drawings and maintained revision history of
drawings. I used ERP software (IFS) to research existing BOMs and document drawing changes. I
created various file types of drawings and models including, step files, PDF, Inventor .idw to
AutoCAD .dwg, and imported JPEG files into Inventor .idw drawings.
§ Analyzed models to check for interferences and design issues. I designed sheet metal parts for
mounting or covering components of the machine.
§ I coordinated with manufacturing engineering on CAD model issues and manufacturability of
parts.
